When cleaning out a box, I found a Manual for Corona Vacuum Mounting Presses. Actually, it is more like a manual cum catlog. The front page says "We at the CORONA COMPANIES wish to thank our customers everywhere for your patronage, cooperation and suggestions. This manual is long overdue, but will hopefuuly serve to answer questions and improve our craft. Sincerely, Carl
Brecht, President" It has directions for maintenance and listing of available products. It isn't toooo old, as it is photocopied and there are area codes, and zip codes listed. The price of a 33x42 press is (A series) $875.00, to give you an idea. Anyone want this historical gem/ actual manual?

Wow, Ellen. I had one of those presses before I got my Vacuseal. I don't think I ever had a manual. I guess I figured that operating and maintenance instructions were supposed to be common knowledge. Maybe they were even on the CPF exam, though I don't recall.

Carl must be Marvin's dad. I wonder how he feels about the "direction" sonny boy has taken the company (more recently known as Regal Crown Industries, then iMat.)

I'd donate the manual to the Picture Framing museum, if there is one.

We had a Corona for our first cold vacuum press table. I remember we got a "kit" with a large piece of rubber ( for the bed of the press ) 2 hinges to attach to the upper frame work ( after you built the top with a glass insert ) and ..a vacuum pump. I cost maybe $400. for the kit. I liked the glass top on the press but did not like spraying to glues .....messy and bad for the lungs. :(

What!!! You mean there REALLY was a manual for the Corona Press???? Carl rather rudely told me that there weren't manuals, while Marvin assured me that he would get a manual for me. That was back in 1985. I am still waiting for that manual to arrive! They must have sent it to you by mistake! How can I go about getting a copy of it??????
