i need to upgrade my 10in (Mikita) miter saw set up for a better one or possibly get a chopper. Anyone know if a chopper is good for mdf frames? can a chopper be used on wood that is 2in and larger? thanks guys....I am in a pickle. I want to buy a good piece of equipment that can cut good frames.... thanks! oh....if someone has a saw for sale let me know!

your the man!

i think your right about the square saw....just need to find one haha! thanks again

A chopper cuts MDF like it butter. Trouble is, it is very hard on the blades and they will dull quickly.

A chopper cuts MDF beautifully.

Mine cuts moulding up to just under 100mm which is about 3.937 inches (I only use the metric system and battle with inches):D

It cuts synthetic frames well as well.
