"Paradigm Direct" has contacted me a few times. They process credit cards and "remove a layer of costs by working direct" - removing some bank fees. They have already quoted me a few areas of cost savings.

I Googled the name and only find emailing as something they do - like advertising I suppose.

Just wondered if anyone has any 'scoop' or experience before I waste any more investigating time.

Sherry-Not a day goes bt that we do not get someone calling offering unbelievable rates by "dealing" direct. Every single one promises a free anaylsis where they will "save" me money

Do as Cliff suggests and call Heartland. We use them and they are great. They were reffered by a fellow grumbler

Call me and I will give you the name and number of the local rep

Personally, I think credit card processors are the aluminum siding companies of this era

Not that is has anything to do with thier rates or customer service, but you may want to know anyway, Hartland just had the largest security breach of customer credit card info in history.

They (Heartland) are very upfront and open about the breach. Ask your rep. What happened and what they're doing to correct it was explained to me and I was convinced that it was well contained and won't happen again. (That way at least. Of course, the best systems can be overcome by determined thieves.)

Just googled them and their site does not come up. There is an error somewhere.
How about a phone number if possible?

I might suggest that before you commit to one company that you do a comparison search from either Quote Catcher or Vendor Seek.

From each of these sites you will get at least five quotes.

Fill out the questionnaire and within a few hours you’ll get people coming out of the woodwork giving you “guaranteed lowest quotes”. Since each of the processing companies know they are competing with each other, they will be some of the best rates you can get.

Thanks. That link worked but none of the ones on google did.
I'll check them out later.

Call Heartland.

Wait, that's a joke right? I just had my debit card, and credit card compromised, again. The culprit this time? Heartland! They are the biggest card processor, and they have been compromised. I'd wait on calling them!

Here's a story from my bank.

If I call Heartland, it won't be because I'm happy! :)

I Googled Heartland breach (lots of information) & as I read it I realized that this sort of thing could happen to ANY such operation...hackers, thieves, etc. learn how to do such things quite well.

But what did disturb me is that it APPEARS it happened TWICE within months of each other. Hmmmmm.

This is one of those issues that sure has a lot of "may be" and mights

it might be interesting to know if anyone actually has a had a credit card defalcation with them. I do know they were pretty upfront on the issue and seemed to cure it effectively

But, if uncertain, there are many processors

They have been super with us

To me, the best test is how quickly and how nicely they resolve a problem
