I have a photo that is printed on flimsy photo paper (19 X 13) that was kissed by a pinup girl. I would like to dry mount it (with KoolTack( due to the paper and how it is already starting to curl.
Lipstick is fully dried.
Anyone ever mount anything like that or should I give my wife a tube and tell her to start kissing and I start testing?

Thanks,
Steven

I am quite sure that you will not be able to drymount a lipstick kiss. Lipstick is a wax/oil and with any type of heat I am sure it would melt. I would do a test run with lipstick on paper and see what happens.

Lots of luck - it sounds like it would be a nice item if it could be mounted and framed.

Have you thought about using Perfect Mount? No heat necessary and it would be pretty easy to avoid the lipstick. Once you have it on the PM you might want to put some release paper over it and thien add some weight or put it in a cold press to make sure it is stuck down evenly.

No, but I was once framed by a lipstick kiss.

(Sometimes I am in awe of my own wit.) :p

It would be quite interesting to test!

Once upon a long time ago my young teen daughter made a Courtney Love type shirt from one of father's old dress shirts - covered with lipstick kisses which I "fixed" with brush applied Acryloid B72 in xylene. It went through the washer and dryer many times with no damage. That surprised me :)

I was thinking along the lines of body temp doesn't melt it much if at all, or so I have heard ;)
I think perfect mount is the way to go too. Just seeing if anyone had ever mounted a kiss.
