l use to do business with them in the far past ( 1970-1999) l'm looking for the hunt prints they use to sell. Does anyone have an idea who now inventories them??? l've done searches and they have all failed. All l can find are pieces on ebay.

Actually, you just have to know how to ask the right question.

Here is a page that you can dig through.

Your welcome.

right company just there phone number is not working and there www.is off

thanks any way. l'm assuming they closed up after 2004 l was just hoping some one bought there inventory of prints and frames
Dang... sorry about that. It was there when I logged out yesterday....

lets try again - - but two ways......

Shifton Frames

and https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&site=&q=Schiftan+frames&oq=Schiftan+frames&aq=f&aqi=g1&aql=&gs_sm=si&gs_upl=3198l3198l0l5909l1l1l0l0l0l0l69l69l1l1l0

When looking up a company.... most do not use a first name. Google "Baer Charlton" and you get all
sorts of stuff.... google "Charlton Productions" and you get the company.

When I see the name Schiftan it conjures memories of Decor magazine in the late 1970s, and highly decorative 5" wide frames with an opening size of 4" x 4".

Yup, one and the same Rick.

Only oval maker I wanted a frame from more was a fourth or fifth generation
family in Pennsylvania or NY... the lathe was powered by the last working
water wheel still working at the original job.

Actually, I wanted to go there and turn my own frame. An oval turning face
frame lathe is an awesome machine to see in action. So scary that the plate
is actually hidden during the turning except for a small 6x6 hole that you run
the tools through.

Answering question about Alfred Schiftan frames and prints. We purchased inventory from the Schiftan Corp. couple years ago.

1. We have approx. 6.500 assorted picture frames, bulk of which are Italian made, many with gold leaf trim, some
Italian brass and stained wood finishes. There is no manifest detailing quantities of each.

2. We have 100 plastic display frames with prints in them.

3. We have 165.000 high quality art prints, in a myriad of sizes and subject. Many are reproductions of Cezanne
and Monet etc.. and are fully licensed.

4. All of the above mentioned comprise about a trailer and a half.

Please contact us if you have any questions.
