Any Grumblers near Red Hook NY?

not that close...I'm about 1 1/2-2 hours north if you feel like driving :)

Hi Neven:

I live about 50 minutes straight south of Red Hook (Peekskill NY).

My shop is about 90 minutes south of Red hook (maybe faster, what kind of car..??:))

PS: Dinner included!

Sounds tempting guys especially the dinner Paul. I am going to be traveling with a bit of an entourage so I kind of have to go with the flow. Not sure if they will want to drive that far but I'll ask.
I work at one across from Red Hook on 3rd Avenue between 25th & 26th. I'm off today, but I'll be in Wednesday if you want a tour.

Seth:

Neven meant Red Hook in Upstate NY, not the one in Brooklyn.

That's not Upstate New York :). That's downstate. Anything north of the Catskills is upstate. (I'm just joshin, I know you City folk like call us cow folk, farm country, when we're upstate).

dave.

Exactly Paul. NYC folk! If it's Westchester county, it's NOT upstate. There is a big state attached to the precious little burb called NYC.

"Do hoh! Let's go to the country!"

"Ok! We can go to White Plains!"

dave.

Dave you are so funny, I am going to your favorite city before I head over to all the farms upstate.

Its not all farms! Ok most of it. Except for the Adirondacks. I never realized how big the park is! Its bigger than Yellowstone, Yosemite and Glacier National parks combined. The rest of upstate smells like cow poop and sileage. Ick...nasty rotting corn in silos. :vomit:

Ill be back to San Antonio in July neven. We'll have to visit.

My shop is in Saratoga Springs Dave....we're almost neighbors in that Upstate NY kinda way ;)

Dave, my family's from Utica! I grew up near White Plains (which isn't all white and it certainly isn't plain*). My mom retired to Oswego. (?)

Of course, none of this helps Neven. My sister went to school near Red Hook. There's a place there called Matthew's (which might also be in nearby Rhinebeck, I'll try and find out) which had noteworthy onion rings (of course she graduated *gulp* 25 years ago)

*My uncle is involved in a human rights coalition and when he proposed this slogan for their t-shirts a lot of people on the board balked, but they sold out instantly, and so did the re-order.

That's cool! What a small world we live in. My bro went to school in Purchase, so I know White Plains pretty well. Utica is a town that's for sure. Oswego is too cold and too much snow. I'm pretty sure I'm moving to San Antonio next year, so out with the cold weather and in with the warm stuff.

dave.

Ah, it keeps her thread at the top. I'm sure neven doesn't mind, do you neven? :D

Yeah my bro just graduated this year. No offense but that campus is a ghetto. They just built a new dorm building there last year, and they let the students name it. Big mistake! They all voted for Fort Awesome. LOL. You don't even want to know what the other choices were in the running.

I can't afford the housing here in Maryland. I get twice the house for half the price in San Antonio. I'll just commute to chapter meetings. :D
