Re: Antique Book Cover - Formed Rob Mounts

Love it! Is the substrate behind your backing mat a piece of 8 ply mat, foam board, gatorboard or coroplast?

What's the story about this book/ journal/fill-in-the-blank? It's beautiful.

Gorgeous - that frame is perfect for the antique book cover. I had to look closely to see where you placed the formed rods and only noticed the top ones after picking out the ones at the bottom. How big and heavy was the book cover?

The substrate is a linen precovered board. The rods are brass, and the book cover, although heavy, was fairly small, about 9 x 12. Spacers & Museum Glass.

Hugo did not want to touch the leather with the brass rods, so he made the attachments over the book's brass corners.
