I received the email below from LJ today (and yesterday I got a call from Sprint but I declined to accept the relay call):

Dear Valued Customer,

We have received calls from customers alerting us to what appears to be a scam targeting custom framers. This scam seems to be similar to the one reported in March of 2007 and July of 2008.

The scam involves a large order for glass and/or metal frames that are paid for by credit card(s) and shipped outside the United States.

This appears to be an organized effort, so please be on alert for any larger orders that seem out of the ordinary.

Thank you.

Hand one operator assisted call and 4 emails in the last 2 weeks - they seem to know business is slow so they think we will jump - my hand jumps - to the delete button -

on a slightly different note today I received a call from someone who was verifying information for "web search engines" I acknowledged my name, store name but when they started to get into employee information I became wary - I did say "yes" to one of the questions - I hope I don't get hit for a bill for $1,000,000,000 for some product I "ordered"

That's a scam where they're setting up a one page website with the information you gave them, and will send a bill for your listing. (some charge it to your phone number/bill)

It's similar to the fake yellow page directories that call over the phone "to confirm your listing". (so they can bill ya)

Unfortunately, you may receive a bogus bill in the mail.

Why just yesterday I received a relay phone call. First question was would I do a large quantity of framing. My first question (thanks to previous threads) was, "do you need this shipped?". Guess what, it work, the operator told me they disconnected.
