Ecru Pongee silk.
Walnut (hand planed) fillet.
Chippendale style frame in antiqued walnut (Victorian finish).
Archival Duct tape hinges.
Washer carton backing.
Acid etched nonglare . . . ok just joking.

very, very nice. strong lines. very rich. impressive, exotic subject. a nice detour to retro elegance, but then I'm quite partial to the older styles. refreshing.

who's closed corner?

"Real Tobacco [but then they did that in 1938]"

and yesterday, and today, and tomorrow...

Baer,
1. what does the plaque have inscribed on it?
2. what material/product do you normally use as a dust cover?
3. inquiring minds, ya know!
Thanks for sharing your expertise with us.

Plaque is the title of the photo "Romney Lass by Stevens 1938".

Actually, that was her first cigarette. She started smoking shortly after, and quit at age 27.

Dust cover on this is Cambrick from Frank's Fabrics. It's black.
We stock Cambrick (54" wide), Tyvek (36"wide), blk kraft 36, brown kraft 30 & 24.... no two pictures call for the same treatment.
Anything "archival" will get Tyvek or Cambrick. Nice and wide will get black kraft.
Lesser pieces and the work surface consume the brown 40lb.

Why can't I get the picture? All I got was a box with a little red X in it. Whaaaaa! I'm trying to visualize it by all of your comments, but I'm sure it isn't as beeeeaaauuuuutiful as the real thing. Baer, all your other pictures have come through, wonder why this one won't?

Wonderful!
Love that frame!
