Is it possible, or advisable, to laminate large prints in a heat press. I am thinking that laminating in sections could leave lines or visible marks on the finished product. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

thanks,

Joe

We did it all the time. You learn not to "cook" it too long and to not use too much pressure.

Also, DryTac laminates make these jobs much easier since it requires a lower temperature to successfully bond than the other brands.... so you're not quite as close to the magic temperature that foamcore starts to melt/crush. Emerytex (sand texture) is more forgiving than the satintex. Comes up to 51" wide I think (maybe 48.5")

The largest that I can remember laminating took 8 bites without lines.
