From a watercolour framed in 1890 - must have been quite a successful framer - on the phone about 14 years after it was invented. (I never had a phone until 1985!)

Nah - it never paid off!

The address is now offices - can't find any framers or galleries with that name in Croydon now.

Here's another, discovered at an antique print specialist here in Adelaide, South Australia.

Had a bit of a Google on the label info.

Found that Vestergade 2 Kolding is in Denmark.
In German, Glarmester & Kunsthandhel means Art Dealing, Art Trade, Dealing in Art, etc.
The business / proprietors name is obviously CHR Wilger, but not much came up on that.
Looking up similar businesses in the Kolding area, they now use 8 digit phone numbers, so the old TELF 334 might be a fairly early number.

In German, Glarmester & Kunsthandhel means Art Dealing, Art Trade, Dealing in Art, etc.

At first glance I thought it said Glaremeister. This was before non-glare glass came along.
