Anyone know how time synching is supposed to work on a Verizon Droid?
This morning my time was 4 minutes off from the official US time at http://www.time.gov/
I only realized it because I had the alarm set on both my phone and an alarm clock that is supposed to automatically synch to the correct time (and it does).
Under Settings->Date & Time, I had "Automatic - Use network provided value" checked so I don't understand why I was off by 4 minutes. I unchecked the setting and then re-checked it and amazingly the time changed to the correct time.
Not how an app like this is supposed to work. Anyone have any idea how I can keep this in synch automatically. There are clock synching apps but they are for providers that don't support NITZ (Network Identity and Time Zone). Verizon supports NITZ so I shouldn't need a synching app.
Any thoughts?
