Well, I wish them the best of luck on their sale. One of the most important items in a frame shop business sale, in my opinion, is an established customer list.

What is the point of buying a frame shop with an established reputation (good, bad, or somewhere in between), and not getting the list of established customers? A person would be better off starting from scratch and building his/her own reputation and buying exactly the equipment and whatever inventory they need than buying a business with no database and most likely a bunch of inventory that may or may not move.

(I question how they built up 250,000 ft. of moulding if it is all good movers?) If they move a quarter of a million ft. of moulding in a YEAR, that would be an extremely good buy even without the database! And that is most unlikely.

If they are willing to sign a non-compete clause, why won't they give up the customer list????

I had the same thought. I was almost talked into riding down there to check out the purchase, but it sounds too good to be true. I would be willing to bet that this is junk, and the truck too.
