Omni Bar, Atlanta, Friday night 6pm. Don't come if you are a poop (not that any of us are... it's those others I want to discourage) But bring tired feet, stuffed brains and your always delightful box of funny framing stories!

And don't forget to check the weather forecast!!

If rain is on for that evening, bring a surfboard!!

[for newbies, this previous is a reference to a most unusual phenomenon to which we were treated in about 1998 or so. During a heavy thunderstorm, part of the rainwater removal system on the roof failed and the Omni Hotel had a literal waterfall in the lobby near the bar. Most interesting to watch some other sort of business deal with a huge crisis right in front of G-d and everybody. They did it very smoothly, and we had the entertainment of a lifetime!]

1998? Wow! Time really flies. I would've guessed maybe 2002 or 2003.

I remember wandering around in the general vicinity of the Omni Bar following an exhausting day, which, in turn, followed an all-night drive to Atlanta.

A stranger approached me. She was wearing a whistle and a name tag that said, "Bossy Ellen."

Or maybe it said, "Ellen Collins."

Anticipating a mugging, I assumed the three-point fighting stance,* but she said, "You look lost. Come join us." (She did not realize that 'lost' is the permanent look on my face.)

I joined a large table of Grumblers and PPFA Hitchhikers. As Ellen reeled in more stragglers, we displaced civilians until nearly everyone in the bar was a framer.

You'll have to go to Atlanta to find out what the whistle is for. I WILL tell you a couple of long evenings at the Omni Bar were the highlights of a very good trip.

*Which was later replaced by the 3-pint drinking stance.

Ha! All good memories!!

Moving strangers and getting all of us to ....... (whoops I don't want to spoil the surprise for anybody new!!) well, she had her work laid out for her that evening.

And the lightning display from the glass wall of the Omni across Atlanta was very impressive.

And then someone yelled, "Surf's up!!!"

Framerguy, you came dangerously close to revealing the secret: Every time Ellen blows her whistle, everyone at the table removes one article of clothing.

As I recall, it was really hot there, too.

Hmmm I've been debating about going , haven't been to the Atlanta show in 4-5 years. You people are freaking me out...Maybe I'll wait till Vegas.

After all what happens there, stays there

Steph it doesnt matter where you go...they take pictures and post them on the net. So bring the clean panties. I hope you dont loose your chair, a musical chair thing. If so they keep your clothes and they spank your bottom with a meatl frame.

GOOd Luck

I think Ellen likes S&M
