I recall a few threads lamenting the influx of "McFrame" shops everywhere ... followed by hang-wringing of "what are we gonna do to compete????"

Then ..... I see framers volunteering to teach 'em how to frame well.

Why not let 'em sink in their own mediocrity?

I see Framer(s) complaining about suppliers: "I"ve been dealing with 'em for 10 years and they still don't get it right". Is this one of those "I beat my head against the wall, just 'cause it feels so good when I stop" things?

I dunno, ... call me wierd, but if I were to experience a crumby supplier, I wouldn't tolerate it for 10 days, let alone 10 years....

Caring and Sharing........why else does this board exists? I guess there are those who do and those who don't.

I train these guys because: a) they pay, b) because they're gonna be around for a long time, and c) by teaching them basic do's and don'ts, I'm preventing artwork from being too gravely damaged. Call me a good samaritan, but hey.

I love good samaritans in the framing world, increasing knowledge is for everyone, no one person can have all the answers. Thanks "uncle Boggy" and other contibutors!
