Is anyone still having problems with 12 in sanding disk not sticking.:fire:
Have tried cleaners, spray glue, weight, heat, pressure.:fire:
Nothing seem to work to get the disk to stick.:fire:
It lifts just enough to put a bow in the outside corner of the frame.:fire:
Have contacted suppliers ie amp, don mar, united still NG

Where did you buy the discs? I bought some from Harbor Freight once and they wouldn't stick worth a hoot. Where they did stick they were murder to get the adhesive off. Started buying from a local woodworking shop, their's are easy to install and come off cleanly. Heat gun did help the crummy ones to stick and aided in removal.

Doug, after getting a package of three discs a couple years ago that wouldn't stick, I found an alternative that I've been very happy with. I use a 12" 100 grit disc made by Fandeli that I can purchase locally at Busy Bee Tools. Not sure if you'd have access to this brand in the U.S. though. These discs don't come with a hole in the middle, but it is no problem to cut one. They stick very well, but are not difficult to remove when the time comes to change discs. Most of the time the discs come right off cleanly, although on occasion, I've had a speck or two of residue left on the mitre sander (but these were very easy to remove).

I just bought 5 of them today, actually, on sale for $3.49 Cdn each (regular $4.99). A lot cheaper and better quality, in my opinion than the ones I had to import from the U.S.
