Can anyone provide a list or direct me to an existing list or report that is available in regards to American moulding manufacturers. I am not interested in American companies that just distribute moulding made oversees but rather companies that are manufacturing the moulding right here in the USA.

Picture Woods in Colorado :beer::beer:

The following companies manufacture at least part of their lines in the USA, the last I knew:

Foster Planing - all USA
Framerica
Garrett - all USA
Larson Juhl
Nickell - all USA
Nielsen
Picture Woods - all USA
Vermont Hardwoods - all USA
Xylo - all USA

My apologies to the many I've no doubt missed.

In addition there are countless moulding companies that primarily make trim for architectural projects that also make picture frame moulding on a custom basis. However, this is likely to be only unfinished length moulding in moderately large quantities.

Designer Moulding, metals fabricated at their aluminum plant in Louisville, KY

Furst Brothers, some woods fabricated at their plant in Baltimore, MD

If you're talking about frames, you can add

A Street
Holton
Jonah
Kellar and Klein
Artisan
PSG

If you're talking moulding AND frames (closed corner) the list can fill more than a few pages.

But for just moulding milled in the USA (50 states) not including American Samoa, Guam and Porta Rico as well as a few other shady "Made in America" places.....

I think David has covered it just fine.

That's awesome!

Isn't koa supposed to be rare/limited? He might have to be rather choice in handing out his cards.

I was at the store in Kona and there was a great supply and variety of wood there!!! Great slabs 6 and 8 foot tall and small chunks for all sorts of projects. Frame moulding started out at aroun 4 dollars and three sticks of 2" framing only cost 27 dollars to ship to Southern Illinois!!

I direct you to the third manufacturer listed on the second page of the official annual secret royal report in regards to American Molding Manufacturers. Now what? What are you going to do about that? Hope you are a man of good intentions, are you?
Oops! nobody welcomed you on board as yet? No one curious about your hobbies?

Thanks to all for your recommendations, especially David. I was specifically looking for hardwood moulding to be used in a relatively high volume framing operation, I guess I could have been more specific in my question. It is our intention to use all American made components. Once again, I appreciate your willingness to share information. I have found this forum to be of great value for a newbie into the framing world like myself.
