This old beater delivery truck parks in the lot today and out jumps this grungy looking guy who enters the store looking for the manager. His English is not the best but passable and he wants to sell me framed art and frames. Says all the usual lies and bs stuff, acts so surprised when I say I have never heard of them. Gives me his card, oops, the previous employee card and he writes his name on the back, Imri, and leaves.

I checked out the web site tonight, hard to navigate and apologies all over the place for not having it run properly. I tried to find out pricing but it would not even let me pretend to order something.

My question to all, has anyone else ever heard of these people? Curious minds want to know !

Gee, doesn't sound like anyone I'd wish to do business with! Kinda like those guys with the gym bags that come around selling stuff that "fell off a truck." I'd steer clear if I were you!

Sounds like a good time for an "Ambar" alert..

Or with a little accent thrown at it, you get what it is: "Amba Rat" or "Am be a Rat"...

I tryed the link and it goes nowhere..... good call Lynn.

Jo, your link didn't work for me either.

I haven't heard of this company but
similar types come to my doorstep periodically.

First there are the "art students from Israel" that sell "original works of art...unframed.
They are paintings, not prints, but they are copies of existing artwork.
I know because the first year I was in the shop I took the time to look.
THe second time on of the art students came around he got angry when I didn't want to look and told him that someone had been there in the past 3 months with the same stuff.
Since then I just turn these types around at the front door.

Then there are the guys that come around in the trucks trying to sell framed art...one of their pitches is that it is worth it just to get the frame.
Again, I took the time to look...once.
They don't make it past the front door now either.

Can't say for sure that this is the same kind of business but it certainly sounds like it.
