When I phoned Allegheny to get a price on length versus readymades of my favorite one inch raw poplar I found out their place burned down last month (late October, actually)! They lost just about everything (except computers and records) and all of the "people and animals" got out safely.

Seems there was horrid weather with wind and such and electrical wires fell on their roof and the place went up like a tinderbox.

Yikes.

I want to wish them a speedy recovery - they are nice folks

to do business with and like I said - love that raw poplar moulding!!! Luckily for the sake of their insurance claim they were not involved in a FLOOD!!!

I do wish them well, but the insurance company probably has an exclusion covering winds of over 22 miles an hour and if your building is within 10.375 feet of electric lines.
