Hello Grumblers. I am looking at a used vn2 that appears to be quite old. It is labeled as a putman not itw. This machine has considerable surface rust but still "works". My concern is with the condition of the valves. I am sure that at the very least they would have to be cleaned and resealed. Has anyone taken on a project like this? Any way of determining the real age of this machine and would the parts still be available.

Also it appears that this machine does not have all the clamping mechanisms of the currant models. Would this be a major concern or could it be upated with additional clamps?

The benifit of your collective knowledge would be greatly appreciated.:help:help:

jpaul... I agree with you wholeheartedly!!

Such a buy!! Your Momma would be so proud!

By the way, I have replaced the valves on these things (but not on the one I'm selling) before and they aren't hard to do.
