So I needed a piece of acrylic quick for a job and found a sheet in my glazing rack. There was white plastic wrap on it with no markings. It looked like normal clear acrylic. I cut it down and put it on the piece and the edge turned blue. What type of acrylic do I have?
Picture shows a piece of the cut off with wrap still on it and clear looking edge vs the acrylic on the artwork and blue edge.
Thanks

With more research it would seem that somewhere along the line I got a couple sheets of polycarbonate mixed in a shipment.
The edge of polycarbonate shines bright blue even with the clear appearance from the front of the sheet. This is due to a bluing agent used in manufacturing.
