I am building a large shadowbox. One of many items to be included is an acrylic award. This object is fairly heavy, about 6" diameter set on an acrylic base which is about 5"x2"x1". I would appreciate any suggestions as to the best way to mount this object in the shadowbox.

One concern I have is that any glue on the bottom of the base will be visible through the base as it is made of clear acrylic.

In terms of placement, I guess the award could either stand on the bottom of the shadowbox, or on some kind of shelf. Suggestions in this regard also appreciated.
