Somehow odd requests always seem to come in clusters ... here's this weekend's collection:

Nice collection, Andrew.

They all look like nice projects.

They don't look so weird to me, Andrew (I was expecting to see animal parts or fur mats, etc!) so what are the stories behind them that make them weird? (What's the necklace made of, for instance?)

Maybe "weird" was the wrong word ... it's just that there has been nothing "normal" this week! No stupid LEs with double mats, no boring posters, no diplomas. Just a rash of "special" requests.

Christmas tree mat cuts don't crop up too often and took a bit of figuring, plenty of jerseys come my way but not too often a blouse and skirt worn by somebody's mother's mother many yeas ago in the old country, and it's not every day I frame a garnet necklace and matching brooch. Both the clothes and the necklace took a lot of stitches!

Here is another one that I did yesterday ... not really "weird", but not "normal" either ... this non-profit (Ronald McDonald Homes) wanted to give an award to the local baseball team (Angels) to thank them for their support ... the name of the fundraiser was "A Hit for the House" so we got one of the kids to draw a house and then did a special mat cut to symbolize the theme.

What a neat idea for a mat cut . . .

Boy, I wish I had a computerized mat cutter . . .

Heck, I just wish I had a frame shop!!

Looks great.

Andrew, you really have to stretch and grow man. Lay off the brown frames for a while. :D

I like the Ronald McD... very easily reproducable and profitable.
