I know I could contact my distributor tomorrow and ask him about this but here I find myself, at The Grumble again, and I thought I'd just check with you all. Please be kind if this is another of those really stupid questions.

I have a client who would like me to hot press 30 or so images, average size 16 X 20, for their tradeshow booth. I planned to use foamcore possibly black but it turns out that their booth has round corners and they would like me to use something less rigid if possible. I could try using 1/8 instead of 3/16 but I think they might still crink. Is there a product that anyone can recommend? I use a Seal 210M hot press. Thanks!

asrai,

I think I'll just wait 'till you find the most comfortable place to post this question. :D

I'll bet if you could find a truly flexible mounting board it would cease to be flexible after you mounted something to it.

When I was in photography school, we mounted all our prints for critique on matboard. To check our mounting, the instructor would flex the board back-and-forth until the print popped off.

Still, regular 4-ply mount board or matboard would probably be as close as you'll get.

Thanks alot Framerguy. I'm lost and tripping all over myself out here in cyberspace!!! Why can't I find the topic or reply buttons on the Grumble page but they are so obviously apparent on the "tips" page?

(Depending on how "sharp" those rounded corners are, I'd consider 2 ply mounting board also.)

Oops, just thinking out loud. ;)

I would be happy to use a capital "A" next time, I was just following your login name to the "letter".

Sorry.

You are forgiven and exhonerated (nice word, but how do you spell it!). I guess I had to keep it all in lower case when I started, just like in my e-mail address. When I get really good at this stuff I'll go back and edit it. I feel like I can do anything now!

Try this "A".

Go to the main page of the Grumble, click on "Today's Active Topics", and you will find all of the topics that have had replies or have been posted for the first time today. If a topic hasn't been addressed for a few days, usually they won't show up in this list of active topics.

Thank you, again, Framerguy for your much appreciated assistance. - Asrai p.s. I just got the "A". Man am I beat. I was planning to use today to do a little catching up but was kept busy at the counter (not that I'm complaining mind you!). Anyway, I decided I would mount those 30 pieces onto 4 ply mounting board as Ron suggested. I explained what I was thinking to my customer showing it with 20X24 mat. He said, "That looks great - lets put one of those on all of them!" Yee-ha.

No Ron…….not a Christmas present……..I have always loved quotes…….and the one I posted the other day …….

"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."

………..had a profound effect on my life when I found it many years ago…….it totally changed my outlook on life for the better………. Bottom line is that I like “quotes”…….they work for me

I found this site recently……. http://www.quoteworld.org

Dermot, I made a joke when you quoted that earlier this week, it is a nice quote and good words to live by, I was just taking an opportunity to make a point. I don't want you to think I didn't appreciate it. I definitely have communication issues this week.

Dermot, I have always enjoyed quotes myself and the one you shared by Eleanor Roosevelt is probably my all time favorite. Thanks for sharing the site.
