Maybe we should have a "Name That Frame" forum, lol.

Customer wants to try to match this frame. It's about 2 - 2 1/2" wide.

Let me know if you have any ideas.

shades of the 60's I only ever saw that as a ready made good luck. Probably has a triangle cleat holding it together in the rabbit. Unless you are a woodworker almost impossible to put it together.

you may run across those at the salvation army everyonce in a while

What Gumby said. A total nightmare to take apart and rebuild, so if your customer finds one and wants you to cut it down....JUST SAY NO AND WALK QUICKLY AWAY!

Cheap ready made that can be found regularly at thrift stores and garage sales. On the upside when you find one it will only run $3 or $4.

LOL ... thanks guys, that's what I was thinking. Her mom painted them decades ago.

The "closest" thing I could find was a Garrett ... and it's close in the way forest green is close to baby blue, lol.

^ My thoughts exactly. BUT, her mom that has passes did it, so there is sentimental value.

Well, then, my line would be: "Only the real thing was Mom's work. It just wouldn't be right to alter it"

I'm confused..... I'm sending you to Mar camp for grammar school.

I'm thinking this through to mean that "the only thing that counts is Mom's
work (the painting)"

So, I think you're with the rest of us in, "save Mom's work by putting it in a
frame that doesn't scream BELLBOTTOMS & TIE-DIE and frame the other
to match."

Oh, wait.... this is Oregon... bellbottoms and tie-die still rule here.....

Look in Foster Planning Mill's catalog or Xylo's..... but you are looking for
oak.... and it will be raw... but some amber Shellac will cure that. It just won't
cure the look.
