Three Days ago, a customer sticks her head in a frame store, and quickly asks if they had some ready-mades. The hard working framer answers no, and the mysterious customer disappears.

Fast forward to one day later: Same customer + 3 year old daughter walk in and sheepishly asks if she could have 2 frames done soon....because: She bought ready-mades, and she tried to fit her art in them and she broke the frame, shattered the glass and almost destroyed her art while trying to make it fit in the frame, and she cut herself while she tried to fit all in said read-made.....to be mailed to her mother for Christmas.

The framer looks at her and takes a quick look at her bandaged hands and the bandaged hand of her young daughter ("my daughter cut herself too while trying to help mom...."), and proudly says:

Yes Mrs. D, we can definitely frame the 2 pieces, (one of them is an antique map).....and we can do conservation framing on that too and have them ready for you by December 22! (and we'll use Plexi on the one you're mailing so it doesn't break).

Hallelujah!

Customer is ecstatic and grabs more soothing Snickers from the counter to numb the pain and to give some to her martyred daughter.

Peace descended upon the land and customer and young daughter are happy, Christmas is saved, and Grandma will get her frame on time.

Merry Christmas to all!!

Thanks Paul, I needed a good story!

4 Karma Tokens for you!

Customer comes in with a lovely 16x20ish photo of a girl and her horse. The photo had been taken by the girl's grandfather. The 'girl' is now about 50 or so, I'd guess. The husband wants it framed -of course for Christmas. I say that we could do it for Christmas, but that this deserves something better. We design something better, and through the magic of Integrated Framer and our computer, we make up a certificate that shows the 'completed' picture' and some love words to go along. That is one mighty delighted customer, let me tell you! Man, I love this time of year. It is great to make people so happy, and last night was choir rehearsal so we got to practice all our Christmas Eve offering. Wait til they hear the descant that will go on "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing". (Not MY descant.... I sing alto) The choirmaster said he looked high and low for other pieces of music to express the glory of the season, but he came back in the end to those soaring old Christmas hymns. (good thing too, if you ask me...) I can hardly wait!
