Thanks to all for the kind words. These are just a few more of my favorite guitars.

CWiser, stop it, you are making the rest of us look bad.

Great work, you can have so much more fun when you are not designing for a customer in a 10-15 minute window while they are at the counter and with out worry about their budget.

Dave

Absoulutley, funny how they are much easier to please when I do the work before they've ever even seen it! Luckily it's to the point where most of my customers just tell me to do my magic. Really makes a person feel good to have that kind of trust from their customers.

These projects are great! Are any of the pieces yours or all customers??? :D

Thanks for posting photos of your amazing designs, cwiser. They are stunning!

blackiris,

a few of these were customers but most of them were ours. framed and placed in auctions to hopefully be sold. they usually sell very well.

Stop it you're making me blush, seriously I appreciate the compliments. it means more coming from fellow framers

Great pieces

Hi cwiser..

Very nice guitar work !

Can you explane how you mount the guitars - I have an electric one that I am mounting using the screws that hold the neck on, but interested on how you mounted the accoustic one ?

Cheers

Those are amazing.
It would look great if you made a print that had
all of them pictured on it.
Unless, of course, the owners of the quitars
could then haul you into some kind of 'Don't Show My Stuff'
court and make off with your very last dime.
This idea will either make you smile or want to gag,
but another cool thing would be to make a calendar
of them. It could be a great promo for your business.
Or a screen saver.....

I ran a wire (painted black) around two of the screw on the neck and one around the strap screw at the base of the guitar. I use two sheets of gatorboard under the mat for added strength and run the wire through a metal bracket to prevent the wire from cutting into the gator. This usually works fine for the acoustics because they aren't too heavy. Sometimes I may use screws and a small sheet of 1/4" plywood cut into the bottom gatorboard.

Yes good work indeed. It gives me some neat ideas. A note on bolt on necks. I mount them by removing two screws and shoot them back into the neck through the plywood backing.

I like the decoration of the mat sides. I hadn't thought of doing that but I will next time!

Thanks.

Jim,

Thanks, I use a variety of mouldings and suppliers but most are from Framerica or Larson/Miami Artistic.

Wow, very impressive. Kudos, Chris ...
