Get The Picture
Your moderator team does its best to keep the forum free of spammers, but sometimes they get through briefly. Some post ads on the forums, and others broadcast their goods or links via our anonymous private messaging system. The messages are often about cell phones, toner, dating, enhancement medications, religion, politics, or other non framing related items. The links within can lead you to unsavory places on the internet, which can bring up advertisements or even infect your computer.

We have been seeing a lot more of this activity lately.

Keep in mind that unless you actually REPLY to a spammer, they likely won't have access to know your real email address - which is hidden by the forum software.

If you receive a suspicious private message through the forum (one that appears when you click PRIVATE MESSAGES: on the top right of the page), please let one of the team know. While we see the public ones right away, we won't be aware of the private ones until someone brings it to our attention. You can do so by clicking FORWARD at the very bottom of the message, and sending to any one of us.

For non appropriate public posts, you can report it with the icon.

By stopping these in their tracks, together, we can discourage this type of activity.

Thanks in advance
Mike
