What would be the best way to mount a large antique map? I was thinking t hinges on gator board attached to a strainer then framed. But being so large I’m not sure it would stay flat. I’ve never framed anything this large before. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are many factors to keep a work on paper flat.

is the map mounted?
is the map fabric backed?
what are the environmental display conditions?
what type of paper?
what are the actual expectations of you and the customer? drum tight flat or slight waves?
how many hinges and where are they placed? I prefer pass through hinges.
