We have built a working prototype of a 48" air-powered Canvas Stretcher that is able to produce gallery wraps. We have been using this model for months and it has exceeded our expectations. The size of the artwork is limited by the height of your bench. If you would like photos or would like to ask questions please contact Dave at dweaverframe@yahoo.com. We are building a 60" model that will staple from the front. It will also have an air-powered clamp, but it will also have an air-powered stretcher. We are a Custom Frame shop that was tired of high-priced equipment, so we built a very affordable and practical piece of equipment that we are willing to distribute.:kaffeetrinker_2:

48" Canvas Stretching Machine-Gallery Wrap

I have built a 48" air-powered Canvas Stretcher that is able to produce gallery wraps. We have been using this design for months and it has exceeded our expectations. The size of the artwork is not limited to any size. Recently, I created a website that should answer most of your questions, there are pics and operating instructions. It is a simple, light-weight(17lbs) and a very affordable alternative to some of the more popular stretchers on the market. Please visit www.canvas-stretching-machine.com.

60" Stretcher

My first post discussed a design that was limited by the height of the bench, now there is no size limitation. This machine can stretch any size canvas, you simply treat it like a giant pair of air-powered canvas pliers.
The cost of producing and shipping a 60" may not be feasible. The sole purpose of creating this device was to make something simple and affordable for everyone.
