Here's another one of those deals, if youre looking to add stations to your shop's POS system, etc. It's not the fastest PC, and isn't recommended for gamers, but it will meet the basic needs of a POS system.

<strike>Dell 1100 Intel Celeron 2.53Ghz, 19" LCD flat screen, 80gb hard drive, 256 ram, cd burner, ethernet 10/100 card, XP Home, 1 yr service plan. $349 (Expires 4/19) </strike>

If you missed the previous offer, it expired, but has been replaced with a better one. This one has a true Intel Pentium 4 @ 2.8ghz (instead of a Celeron 2.53ghz), and is $399:

<strike>Dell 1100 Intel Pentium 4 2.8Ghz, 19" LCD flat screen, 80gb hard drive, 256 ram, cd burner, ethernet 10/100 card, XP Home, 1 yr service plan. $399 (Expires 4/26, or sooner if they run out)
</strike>

I suggest upgrading the memory to 512 (+$50) or even 1gb (+$100), if you plan to use it with a visualization system. Other worthy upgrades: +$20 for 160gb hard drive, +$10 for Optical mouse

And it IS a P-4 instead of a Celeron, right?

Mike, you may want to edit your post.

Done. Thanks for catching that!

If the #2 pencil is the most popular, why isn't it #1?

There's another one too for $599:

I think we may get this one for our shop, to replace the 4yo - old timer.

Is Dell OK to deal with? I mean if there are problems that fall under warranty? I want to get a comp for the shop, and I like the Dell deals, but have never bought a computer without physically going into a store and talking to a human.

you know I prefer going to a store most times. But a few years a go I bought my first computor w/Dell over the phone. I research it well, especially since I felt pretty igmorant about what I was doing. I had a great experience. They talked me through, I didn't get more than I needed and that same computor has made it ti the shop.

Now I'm looking for a notebook, I will probably do Dell again.

There are so many this week!

<strike>Dell 1100 Intel Celeron 2.53Ghz, 17" LCD flat screen, 160gb hard drive, 1gb ram, cd/dvd dl burner, ethernet 10/100 card, XP Home, 1 yr service plan. $349 (Expires 5/3, or sooner if they run out)

Here's a 5% off coupon code that can be applied to most orders
5% off Code: PNH08B8MBDRK1W Exp 5/3 Wed or after 1000 uses. It will probably be used up by Sunday.

(Brings the above pc to $331.55 or the $599 pc to $569.05) You can also use your dell credit card (or apply) for 2% more off.

These are sufficient for any of the great POS or visualization systems for your shop.

Have a great weekend
Mike

The 5% off code reached 1000 uses this morning and has expired.

Mike :(

BTW we've got 3 Dells in the family now - one personal, one for POS and one strictly for IF (installed today) and today ordered a laser printer to begin doing the bulk of ouor printing in-house.

We got the original deal Mike posted here - and it worked out great.

Knock on wood - we've had no problems with any of these machines. Service is great - expected SHIP date on our last system was 5-7 days and it was DELIVERED in three - definitely reccomend them.
