The lid of my 3444H won't stay in the upright position. Can the gas springs be adjusted or should they just be replaced? Is it difficult to perform either task?
 
Time for new ones. If you suffer sticker shock at the price take one down to the auto parts store and see if they can help you out. On many presses you will need to add fittings to the end of the ones from the auto parts store but will often save well in excess of $100 and sometimes $200.
