Just when you think you've got evrything down pat, not including discontinueds, out-of-stocks,etc.., you can get thrown for a loop anyways. I ordered 13 sheets of B 89 black mat board for an order of various 16x20's and 11x14's. Easy enough. Till I pulled the mat baord from the box and it was all 30" wide instead of 32". Talk about flabergasted! I must have measured that matboard 5 times, then my husband measured again. Of course, I figured I had somehow messed up, checked my order, it was suppose to be B 89 32x40 sheets. Finally called LJ and asked if they had for some unknown reason changed the size, but no, it is 32x40 still. Explained that mine wasn't, and I sure wasn't excited about doing all the math to figure out how to use it for what I needed. Evidently, there was a mistake at Bainbridge and LJ in Greensboro got some miscut matboard. They next-day-aired me the correct order, and everything is okay, but I realized it doesn't take much any more to completely blow my mind. (what's left of it)
Keep framing and have fun doing it!

The same thing happened to me with Crescent Bridal Veil. I was only working with one sheet, but was I ever perplexed for a few minutes. I have no idea why that comes in the 30" width. Then I needed the swirls to go in a certain direction and of course, didn't have enough to finish the order and had to order more. And then by the next time I use it, I'll probably forget all this and repeat the same mistake.

In the old days, 60s, all mat board was 30" X 40" standard size. Maybe they are pulling old guys out of retirement at the factory.

They might have been out at the distributor and they cut some 40 x 60's in half hoping no one would figure it out. FAT CHANCE!
