I have never entered a framing competition and was tempted to enter this and could have, but only with stuff I have already photographed for my own records.

I would only ever enter a piece made specifically FOR a competition and that being the case, would need more notice.

However, I now know that this competition happens in July so now I have 12 months notice, as well as some incentive to tackle a couple of projects I have in mind.

I did vote though, as well as stole some designs -great work everyone and well done to Jay for grabbing the bull by the horns.

Have you voted yet???

I know the entries are all great and unfortunately huge and hard to scroll through, but only FOUR more days til the voting ends!!!

VOTE NOW!!!

oops! I didn't read it all I just went to the pics and I posted some votes on the topics!

I'll try to remove them!

By NZ time there is less than five hours to go - I know you guys are generally behind but don't forget the Grumble has a timezone of its own!!!

Just to let everyone know, the final official judging is complete for the 2006 Competition and the results spreedsheet has been sent to Kathy Kathy Wymore, coordinator of this year's competition to post.

I'd like to thank fellow judges, Mark Klostermeyer and James Miller for working with me on the Grumble Framing Competition again this year. We enjoyed the privilege of serving the industry in this task and thank all of the participants for sharing their work with everyone.

BTW - This year's results from each of the three judges were virtually unanimous! :D

Regards,

John

Thank you John, Mark and Jim - we wait with baited fingers (it is the net...) for Kathy Kathy to post the results!

I've forwarded the results to Jay. It just occurred to me that he knows who did what. What a great contest!

I'll cue up the band and pop the champagne corks and make sure we have a fresh mest tray with a fine selection of deli meats that you all can help yourself to while we wait for the results!

Thanks Kathy, I got it. Thanks to Lance and Judges also. I'll host up a new thread announcing the winners hopefully Thursday when the popular choice ends.
