I am working on a small commercial bid.

The specs call for,

10 frames, 4' x 4'.

2 3/4 inch wood cherry moulding beveled outer edge and gold ribbed inner edge.

2 3/4 inch cherry is easy but the gold inner edge is stumping me.

Obviously as inexpensive as possible.

I (they) need a picture.

Of course they need it before close of business today.

Off the top of my head, I don't know that I have anything like that, but you could always find the right frame and go with a fillet. Many vendors would have an inexpensive fillet that might fit the bill but of course buying fillet in box is going to be a ton of footage.

Would they fly into a tizzy if you suggested a gold fillet?
(Am guessing that it would cost more than their slender budget.)

Thanks for trying to help. I've been searching the "usual suspects" for what seems like hours.

I had discounted the idea of a fillet because

1. Cost.

2. Labour.

3. With a fillet installed the frame will need to be larger to accommodate the 4 x 4 artwork that is going in it without a mat.

I find most people that ask for cherry are wanting mahogony color. Are they looking for the yellow orange cherry wood or the dark red that people refer to as cherry.

Jeff.

I agree. I checked out all the lighter/red mahogany frames and could still find nothing that size with a gold ribbed inner edge.

The original information I posted is all I have to go on. This is through a third party and I have already told them we need more information. Preferably a picture of what they are trying to match, as I suspect this is the case.

If it is the red tones they are looking for you should be able to track one down. I'll do a little looking to see if I spot one.
