Just a small town
Nothing too special, just a neat illustration and a nice Larson frame/fillet.

. . . as well at the frame.... Italian Moulding #45-863WG was gorgeous the way water guilding is supposed to be done.
 
Thanks for the comments. This is an original illustration that was done for Argosy Magazine March 1958, shortly after the MET acquired the original of September Morn. I own a copy of the magazine with the illustration in it, and would like to frame that someday as well. The article in the magazine tells the story of the man who supposedly made the painting September Morn as famous as it was. Richard Hook did the illustration in 1957 or 1958. What a wonderful story of that painting! And you own/framed the original illustration that was used in the magazine article? Cool beans!
 
Marais is one of my favorites. Very nicely done.
