Question 10' or greater length

Is there anyone other then Framerica that has length over 10'? I have a customer looking to frame a 3'x10' mirror and would like a 2-3" moulding/frame. I've called LJ and Southern/Decor but am waiting on my reps to call back.

When you are getting up to this size, are they really looking for a framed mirror to be hung, or is this really "architectural", in which case you could build on the wall with architectural molding, with a custom paint/gilded/whatever finish?

I've gotten moulding from Decor that was 12' long. Of course it's when I order an 8'stick, if I had ordered 12 feet they would have given me 2- 8 foot sticks.

What style of moulding do you need for these morrors?

It seems the customer is only leasing and the lease states that anything attached to the building stays when they leave. So they are hoping to get something that can be removed, Thanks for the help. I too seem to get the 12' lengths when I only need 4'

I used to buy from a vendor here in st. louis that was a member of the NDN. they seemed to have quite a bit over 10', into the 12's and even 14's. Here is a link to a site that seems to list them. Maybe it will help.

Rumors are that most sticks are 9.7 ft long because that's the perfect size to fit in cargo containers for overseas trips.

For longer lengths search for moulding made domestically. Larson has quite a few made in Ashland that might work for you if they can locate longer lengths. Maybe Vermont Hardwoods?
