I need a frame that is like the Larsen Juhl 225058 sonata gold "boxy" frame style. It's just too bulky looking and I know Presto use to make a narrow faced gold shiny or crosshatched frame. The frames are only 10 x 12 and I got a price quote of 116.00 each TO ME from regence. Apparently they have a minimum of 18.00 a foot no matter how small the moulding is. Whatever!!!!! anybody know of a classy looking (gold leaf or metal leaf not a problem)moulding that will not look too bulky on a delicate black and white photograph? Thanks!
 
Get a grip with the cost of a finished corner frame. They are hand cut and finished one at a time. They are well worth the price. As a gilder I know that is involved with their construction.

As far as $118 being your cost, simply mark it up and let the client decide if it is too much. Nothing ventured nothing gained. D0 NOT TELL THE CUSTOMER it is a very expensive frame. Play it cool. Say how good it looks, etc.....

There have been many posts attesting to Cornel's workmanship and quality. It sure sounds like this would worth a try for a true, quality product
 
Cornel's frames are exquisite!
I brought in a few of his photo frames this year and they are doing well.
This is a good price for a custom made product that will have a lovely finish.
