That looks great! Very nice display.
Curious how you mounted the book, I like how it looks.
I have some favourite collectible books I'm thinking of framing.

Haven’t had any issues with that tape yet. Also it’s an authentic signature which my friend isn’t selling as he has 2 of them. How do you mount books?

In Jim Miller's books The Complete Guide to Shadowboxes and Framing Objects, and his guide to DCO (Direct Contact Overlay) he explains a number of methods of using clear polyester film and other products for mounting all sorts of objects without direct adhesive contact.
With a little modification, that method could also work on an open book as well.

Nice presentation, but in the world of valuable collectables, the password is "First do no harm." All treatments must be reversible.

You will find a treasure trove of threads on these techniques with only a little searching right here on the Grumble. Our members are experts in many fields and from all over the world.

Welcome to the Grumble from a real half-Newfie!

Hey! Half Newfie, which part of NL?

Thanks for that info. I’m semi new to the framing business and I’m trying to learn more about it. I agree about being “reversible”. Around here people just want their items framed as they keep them and not selling or taking them apart. But I’ll be looking for ways to do this properly! Thanks!

My dad was born in St. Johns, pre-Confederation.

Good for you, wanting to learn - this is a wonderful and fulfilling kind of business. We make people very happy and we preserve history.

I agree with the others about the hazards of pressure-sensitive adhesives on valuable items, but that's a very good design, visually. It's good that you are looking for ways to improve your knowledge and skills.

You can buy "The Complete Guide to Shadowboxes and Framing Objects" only from the Bookstores of PPFA and Picture Framing Magazine. You can also buy "The Complete Guide to Direct Contact Overlays -DCO" from those sources, as well.
Here's a link to my own website for books and videos, which might be useful for you, too...
