Its now official, I am now verified Vet owned business.
What did you have to do to get this? Other vets here would like to know.
While I'm not disciplined enough to have served and too young for them to have just dragged me away I know some people who would benefit from knowing the process to get that.
Congrats and thank you for your service.
Please keep us updated as to whether this becomes a useful marketing tool for you.
Thank you. I just saw one Gov. bid opportunity. Sounded exciting until the devil in the details came thru. The American embassy needed 100 custom frames done but you had to be located 2miles from the embassy in London. LOL, ok sigh.
Who issues this certification? What is the cost? I'm wondering why I have not seen much of this out in the real world?
Dept of Veterans Affairs does this. Find your local PTAC facility, they helped me. Several hours of computer work. Be ready. Its free to be verified. According to PTAC, I am the first verified framing shop to have this done.
Really.... Wow! If you are the first, and we have tons of picture framing businesses owned by veterans, this would tell me that the Dept of Veterans Affairs is obviously not doing much of a job spreading the word about what they offer???
I will definitely look into this. Never heard of the PTAC either!
Just started the application process.
Just curious as to potential benefits. Outside of potential Government contracts, do you see any other real tangible perks?
Did you do this in person or online? If online, do you have a link?
Seems like is more trouble than it is worth. I don't have interest in gov'ment work, but thought it would be cool to be able to display the logo on my site.
Your next step, if you want to bid and get paid on government contracts you will have to set up as a SAM vendor.
Already done, that was part of the process. Thank You
