Hi everyone,

Again need your advise on making the right decision with a Chopper and Underpinner. Which equipment have you used was the best?

Thanks,

I used an ancient Morso guillotine for years and it was, and still is, a solid and reliable piece of machinery. Hansen and Jyden are also good machines. The only drawback with all guillotines is that they cannot handle the hard wood, finger jointed or hard compo mouldings which are becoming increasingly common these days. You may be better served by buying a good double mitre saw.

For V nailers I was very happy with my Brevetti pneumatic and the Heinz Tiechert pedal operated one I had before that. However, there are several good brands out there and you should try a few, possibly at a trade show, to see what you like because you are going to be spending a lot of time using both of these machines.

Whatever you buy, your best bet is to buy from a local supplier so you can have quick access to parts and support if necessary.
