I sold a print to the Berkeley Public Library. It hangs in their book store and evidently their customers ask about it and want more information. It is probably about 5 years old. The image is vertical, about 24 x 36, an African woman in a robe, wearing a turban, holding a book open. She is standing. Colors are warm, reddish.

Any leads for me? I thought it came from McGaw or Winn, but can't locate it in either database.

Thanks.

Kirstie,

I know the picture you are talking about and I thought it was from Monica Stewart but I do not see it in Image Conscious or Bruce Telekey. You may want to call Bruce Telekey, they have a great selection of African American art, someone there may know more about it.

Hi Tim,

I don't think it's a Monica Stewart. The style is different. I've looked at the African American section on Telekey for something else recently, but it wouldn't hurt to call. Thanks for the suggestion.
