Here are some stunning photographs of rocks. I know, I know...but just look and you'll be amazed. A bit pricy in the print department.

This guy also makes the most popular color management profiles for giclee printers.

Beautiful stuff Bill!

I was always amazed at the results of the Hasselblad 6x6 camera.

I bought his book a few months ago and it is some of the best images I've seen in a long time!!
You should go get his book.

Epson even links to his hyper profiles for their machines.

Here's a little something about the man:

BILL ATKINSON: When Apple superstar Bill Atkinson signed his name on the die of the original Macintosh, it was in the spirit of an artist signing his work. One of the key software architects of the Mac, Atkinson created most of the Mac’s user interface as well as the first versions of QuickDraw, MacPaint and Hypercard software. Today, Atkinson uses the Mac to follow a lifelong dream: producing flawless, luminous nature photographs. To accomplish that goal, Bill has pioneered many of the techniques, methods, and workflow used for digital imaging, and is considered a master of color management. Atkinson has instructed at the Ansel Adams Gallery Workshops, and has been a consultant to leading digital service providers. Bill’s book, “Within the Stone” was published by Browntrout in July 2004. His work can be seen in many fine galleries, and at his website, www.billatkinson.com.

Hi All
Found the Picture Framer Grumble link through our websites stats (somebody there found us). We are www.misociety.com.au an Australian website that amongst other things lists art gallery openings and exhibitions in Sydney. We have one of the most comprehensive 'what's on' sites and thought you guys might like to take a peek for an insight into the art scene in Oz. We also publish a good list of art galleries in and around Sydney
Cheers

There are no words to describe how lovely I find photos of this kind. To me, diamonds are just clear sparkly things, but these kinds of stones are uniquely beautiful. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going back to stare at them some more, right before adding this site to my favorites.

Hey kid, rock and roll
Rock on, ooh, my soul
Hey kid, boogey too, did ya

Hey shout, summertime blues
Jump up and down in my blue suede shoes
Hey kid, rock and roll, rock on

And where do we go from here
Which is the way that's clear

Still looking for that blue jean, baby queen
Prettiest girl I ever seen
See her shake on the movie screen, Jimmy Dean
(James Dean)

And where do we go from here
Which is the way that's clear

Still looking for that blue jean, baby queen
Prettiest girl I ever seen
See her shake on the movie screen, Jimmy Dean

Rock on
Rock on
Rock on

Hey, hey
Rock and roll
Rock on

Rock on
Hey, hey
Rock and roll
Rock on

Rock on
Hey, hey
Rock and roll
Rock on

Rock on
Hey, hey
Rock and roll
Rock on........
