It would be interesting to hear aesthetic and business considerations of the individual Grumblers when they choose between canvas transfer, printing on canvas, or simple texturization with the Z-jell.

Transfers to canvas always look worse than the original print to me. I have heard from a place that does canvas transfers that - at least their process - requires a lower DPI when transferring to canvas.

HUH ???
A canvas transfer starts with a print on paper. A print on canvas is just what it sounds like. While it is true that you can push a canvas farther then photo paper as to PPI. Starting with quality for either will give you better results.
I personaly prefer prints on canvas. The ones that I make use pigmented inks and will out last ANY offset lithograph when it comes to fading.

You have piqued my curiousity about what you have said of your printing process. I am under the impression that pigmented inks are very permanent and are used in higher quality printing. What is it about the pigmented inks that you use that would make it last any longer than other pigmented inks?? If your inks last longer than other brands of the same type, why wouldn't other printers use that type of more permanent ink??
