Hi all,

I am looking for a suplier that sells dry erase board.

Also saw a plasma tv this week that had a roll up canvas in front of it. Does anyone know where to find just the mechanical end of a unit like this?

Thanks,

Bob

Bob ...a quick Google search turned this one up ...

http://store.abcwebstore.com/whdryerboalo.html

I use to buy direct from Weber Costello but don't have any account anymore.

Off the cuff what about a school supply? for the hardware for the big old, out of date maps that used to snap up, and wake me up, when Mrs. Eusnotnozebrats used to hit it with her 6' long pointer.

Dave, That looks like a winner.

Bob, The roll up canvas was on a motorized track that hides the screen when off. It was really cool to see in action. The frame that came with it looked plastic and cheap, I am hoping to find the track and motor part without a frame.

Thanks guys.

Bob

DryTac makes a dry-erase laminating film.

Dry-Erase Laminating Films for Reusable Presentations

Drytac's write-on/wipe-off dry-erase laminating films are yet another finishing option that adds value to your customer's prints. We have developed two distinctly different films to accomplish this, MHL Scribe™ (http://www.drytac.com/productcart/pc/viewCat_P.asp?idCategory=175) (a 3.0 mil [75 micron] thermal laminating film) and Protac Scribe™ (http://www.drytac.com/productcart/pc/viewCat_P.asp?idCategory=176) (a 3.0 mil [75 micron] pressure-sensitive film). Each of these films can be written on with a dry-erase marker (e.g. an Expo™ brand dry-erase marker) and be wiped clean with a dry cloth with no messy cleaning solutions or solvents required.

The most common demands for these products are for reusable presentation boards, schedules, vacation planners, maps and courtroom displays. These products can also be used in conjunction with our popular Drytac Ferro™ (http://www.drytac.com/productcart/pc/viewCat_P.asp?idCategory=21) to create a Magnet-Receptive™ board that is dry-erasable.

Please note that it is important to only apply these films with a clean laminator. Adhesive, residue and/or dust particles can transfer to the surface of these products, which can then affect their write-on/wipe-off properties.

Where I used to work, one of the engineers had his office walls covered floor to ceiling in the dry erase board. I was masonite board with the white board coating on one side. I'm not sure where the heck they got it though. Should be lower cost in 4x8 foot sheets if you need that much.

I used a white piece of plexi. It works best and erases nicely. Never need the white board cleaner stuff.

"Vision Art" sells units like the mechanical one you describe. Mucho denero!!!!! plus a buy-in for distributorship. But someone there has to buy the "stuff" to build them somewhere. Think that they just assemble. Maybe a close look might tip you off as to the components you would need. I doubt this is rocket science 'cause I'd love to get my hands on one so I can see how it works.... ...kinda like when I explored my folk's TV set when I was a kid!

You can get that at lumber yards and Home Depot. The coating is as heavy as a quailty dry erase board but it will work. The use of the 4x8 sheets is for tub wall lining.

I have used this too for dry erase boards. I also coverd my joining table with it as glue cleans off easier form it.
