As we wait for the Wizard to arrive, we are thinking about gathering a few items to frame for the shop to hang in the gallery and to photograph for our web site. We want to show off the CMC's possibilities. I have some ideas, but nothing is grabbing me. Great ideas anyone?

piece of cake!!! find the thread from last week or so....the one with the gray celtic design and that -to die for- colored one(must have been dozen&1/2 cutouts)....give you something to learn on and to BRAG about!!! the trade show guys once did a very intricate trees as border to the opening...someone recently suggested to keep a folder of 8X10 examples at the table rather than wasting shop wall with examples---use THAT for the real stuff!
come on people-----where are the ideas today????????

Kirstie,

Here's one designed on the Fletcher-Terry / Valinani software (http://www.fletchercmc.com), that I used on a Korean original of a wedding painted on silk.

There's no way you would carve this by hand and actually make money on the deal. ;)

I'm sure others have many more to share.

Regards,

John

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate your complex designs, but what I am thinikng about is what we can actually frame at the shop and put on the wall and photograph for the web site. So far I have come up with a record album, an old photo wiyh an arc or oval mat, an arts and crafts print with some interesting corners to echo the corners on the piece. In other words, I want to go out and buy some interesting things to frame for store display. I appreicate the complexity of your gorgeous mats, but we need to start from scratch with desings we can actually cut! So if anyone can think of anything interesting to look for in an antique store, or an interesting object, or a certain print with interesting angles which I could use on a mat, let me know!

Thank you so much!

I took some of my wedding photos out of an album and used the design in the wizard with the doves. I had a photo from the 1920's of my inlaws, I had a frame for 3 years and just couldn't quite get the mat figured out until I played with a design on the W, it gets many comments.
