Having trouble getting into chat room

I am having trouble geeting into the chat room. I have a new computer here at home and am running IE7. When I open the chat room window all I get is the header on the bacground, no password or login name boxes. I have java and it appears to be enabled under internet options.

I am also running norton Internet security.

Hi Dave

Are you using the default chat room, or the "chatb" alternate one? Chatb does not work with IE7, but the standard one does.

If you can't get in, it's possible that a firewall program is blocking port 6667. This port is required to use IRC. (Internet Relay Chat, which is the type of system we are based on)

Set up on new computer and can't get into chat.
Can still access from old computer.

How do I disable firewall to let me in without disabling it completely?

I guess what goes around comes around. After making fun of Dave I find I have not been able to get in chat for over a week. Although I did get in yesterday. Haven't tried today........................

because of the registerfly.com bankruptcy, many of the chat networks domains are being held hostage temporarily. It is being faught. As a result, some people cant see some of the chat servers. In all cases, chatb should work

As of 30 mins ago, the chat rooms servers have moved to godaddy and should be working for all
