Have any of you checked Neilsen prices with two vendors? I put in two different vendors with the same neilsen frame and I get two different prices. I go to the inventory and the prices are the same for both vendors. I haven't taken the time to call support yet. Set up markups are all the same. I thought maybe someone else had this same thing and a quick solution.

not much info here - as far as part numbers. One thing that comes to mind is the width of the moulding as recorded in the data files. Are they the same?

- width of the moulding is a possibility.
- are the two vendors both pricing of the same type (ie. are they both based on chop) AMCI has prices only as joins. if I "update them" at the same time as other vendors then the moulding pricer mucks it up.
- Did you specify an extra "shipping markup" when you created one of the vendors? I'm not 100% certain, but I think there is a markup that gets applied if you specified it for a particular vendor.

just a few questions off the top of my head.

Tell me the vendors and a sample moulding # and I'll try to check on my system.

Are the pricing formula being used for the moulding the same for each vendor? I have different markups for different vendors and know that Nielsen as one example actually comes out with a different retail price depending upon the vendor chosen.

Do you use moulding pricer to recalculate prices after an update? If yes, did you recalculate for each vendor that supplies the moulding?

If I use Nielsen from LJ, then I must use the LJ price update to recalc the LJ-Nilesens.

If I use Nielsen from Nurre Caxton, then I must use the Nurre Caxton update to recalculate Nielsen

If I use Nielsen from Nielsen, then I must use the Nielsen update to recalculate Nielsen prices.

I've been guilty as charged for making the mistake of not recalculating each individually.

Thanks all, Specialty soft called me before I could get on line today. Great support help. I just never think to make my calls when I have the right time zone in my head.

The problem turned out to be the vendors moulding width. One has them all in at 1 inch another at .5 and I discovered another at .375. I did notice an error or two which I will go correct and from now on use the same vendor when pricing the moulding or when I am flushed for time correct them all.

The widths of the moulding are supplied by the vendors. I was using the Neilsen 15 profile. I'd much rather encounter a few little problems than not have a pos. I suppose I could call the vendors and ask them to get their act together...no, not today. They do a good job the majority of the time.

The grumble works. Thanks again Bill for the grumble
