To John Ranes, Kris Casier, Edd Pratt, Hannu Nystrom and any other Grumblers who will be at SACA next Feb.
Shall we have a dinner 8pm on the Sunday night?
And maybe even take a picture like we did in 2003 and post it here?
Please let me know, or stop by my stand at SACA, and I will book a suitable restaurant.

When I first saw the title of this thread, SACA BOLOGNA, I thought of something that one might find in a Hickory Farms gift basket.

Rick,
We may both speak English but I need a translator to understand your "American"!

Hi Keith,
Sorry to say that I will not be at the SACA show in Bologna this year. Fletcher-Terry will be exhibiting, however other folks will be working this show in February.
I will be working at the Spring Fair in Birmingham earlier in the month, so perhaps we can get together for dinner there? Let's plan a dinner downtown one evening!
Regards,
John

Sorry, Keith, I didn't stop to think that you might not recognize the reference. Hickory Farms is a company here in the States that sells (mostly around holidays) gift baskets of "gourmet" foods that are supposed to have an air of luxury but are in reality of fair-to-middling quality at best. It is a statistical fact that the majority of these food items are, in fact, never consumed. One item often found in these gift sets is some kind of wrapped hard or dried salami/bologna type meat product. Hence my silly pun on the name of the trade show.

Rick,
Thanks for the "translation" !! On the Friday night at SACA there is a big bash for all the exhibitors and as everyone is leaving you are given a goody bag containing something similar (raw sausage) to the very food item you describe! And you are right ----it doesn't get eaten. Now with the benefit of experience I leave the food bag and just accept the wine!

Not doing SACA! We will miss you! OK see you at NEC in B'ham. I usually have a dinner with Roy Rowlands, why don't you join us?

When going on a trip put out all the clothes and all money that you think you will need. Then take half the clothes and double the money!

Keith, that sounds like a good plan.

Hey Keith.
Unfortunately I'll be home already by Sunday evening, but I'll arrive on Thursday at noon and I'd be happy to sit down with Grumblers for a beer/snack/else during the show time. My dinner schedule is also already full.
There's a pretty nice Irish Pub in town where we (=all righteous framing related folks) usually gather after the dinner. One good place to see there too.
John,
Sorry to hear you're not coming. I miss the free taxi drives with you
And Keith,
Would you mind sending the samples I ordered in last Saca? ;)
