I have a good customer that is moving to the Ashfield, Shelburn Falls, Greenfield MA area at the first of the year.
What we are looking for is a shop that carries LJ moulding and uses conservation techniques.
I would like to able to give them a referral before Christmas.
Don't be shy, shoot me some e-mails or respond here.

Ashfield is great, (it's my old home town!). Frankidado is a grumbler and has a shop in Greenfield. I don't know of any grumblers in Shelburne, the Falls or Buckland.

A framer (can't remember her name, sorry) in Shelbourne Falls has a frame shop over looking the bridge of flowers. She got her CPF the same time I did. Seemed to know what she was doing.
good luck.

I framed that "bridge of flowers" in water color for this customer.
This may be one of those magic moments.

Just so that you know Cliff, when this customer asked about framers in that area my first question was "How far is that from Worcester?".

My old shop, Hampshire Frame, is located in Northampton, about 20 minutes away.
Robin, the current owner, is a CPF, does great work, and very trustworthy. She has LJ and others.
I employed her for many years before she bought the shop.

Bob,
Is ANYONE around here actually from Maine?

Erin, I don't know about you personally, but I think Willem can safely lay claim to being a Mainer! We lived in Maine when my daughter was born, but she was born in Portsmouth NH so her claim to being a Mainer could be called into question. We lived in NH when Seamus was born, so he is a transplant from away.
Jerry tell your customer that Noho is really close to Ashfield, better roads for driving on as well. Growing up we divided our shopping between Greenfield and Noho. At the time, Noho had better selection in the grocery stores, but not so today. Also Shelburne Falls is much closer, and your customer could then go to my mothers quilt shop, A Notion to Quilt, which is probably cattycorner to Cliff's CPF Classmate!

Thanks Jerry! My first thought was to post directions! :p
Then I realized it was a bit far. Oh well. :( Either of the options will probably work out well for your customer.

Cliff don't give up so fast! My grandparents lived in Uxbridge and we drove from Ashfield to see them! (*Way too often it seemed to me as a kid*) And that was before route 2 was completed.

Hey Bob thanks for the suggestion but I don't carry LJ.
Jerry, I would be happy to talk to your customer though. If it HAS to be LJ you may have to travel. I do not know if she carries LJ but the the framer in Shelburne Falls is:
Jo-Anne Sherburne
40 State Street
Shelburne Falls, MA 01370
Portraits, framing, overlooking the bridge of flowers, the gallery specializes in commissioned portraits, contemporary rural landscape, florals & still life. Creative custom framing by the artist & owner Jo-Anne Sherburne, CPF.
(413) 625-8306
I'm fairly certain the other framers right in Franklin County do not carry LJ (some do not use conservation techniques either). 1/2 hour north is Zephyr Designs in Brattleboro VT. They do carry LJ, are very professional and are just great people. I worked for them for four years when I first moved to western MA.

Thanks Frank!
I will give them all the info including yours!
These are some nice folks and I really want to find someone that will treat them good.

Frank,
if you're trying to match an LJ frame, give me a call. I can order one for you. Who knows, I even stock some of their profiles.
Between us we should be able to get Jerry's friends what they need!
